NCBTMB Announces Change in Energy Work Acceptance, Introduces New Instructor Qualifications

Burr Ridge, Ill. (June 19, 2017)—The National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB) announced today key updates to its Approved Provider for Continuing Education Program, including a change to Energy Work Acceptance and the addition of Instructor Qualifications for all new Approved Providers. Both changes are effective immediately.

NCBTMB Announces Course Type Now Required on All AP Certificates of Completion and Achievement

NCBTMB and Academy of Clinical Massage Launch Clinical Rehabilitative Massage Specialty Certificate Program

NCBTMB Names Matthews Chair of Certification Board

Burr Ridge, Ill. (March 1, 2017) – The National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (NCBTMB) announced today Teresa M. Matthews, LMT, CPT, BCTMB, has been named Chair of the Certification Board, effective immediately.

Matthews’ new role as Chair comes at the departure of former Board Chair, Bruce Baltz. Baltz was given the opportunity to participate in the recent Certification Board Elections following NCB’s recent restructuring; however, due to personal reasons, Baltz notified NCB he would no longer be able to carry out his role.
